At The Future Learning Project we provide guidance for anyone teaching, mentoring or preparing young people for an uncertain future. As educators we are concerned that the modern world is changing rapidly and bears little resemblance to what is learned at school and university. Young people are often not prepared to succeed in the world that awaits them.
This project has been created to seek insights and identify trends in how work, life and opportunity are evolving, and provide strategies for how students and young people can become prepared to thrive.
We are not in the business of predictions. What we do is systematically analyse information from a multitude of global sources that examine the global economy, the future of work, skills shortages, growth industries, exponential technologies and disruptive innovations. We explore and provide commentary on technological and other advances in robotics, healthcare, education, transport, privacy and many others.
The sum of this work is a series of suggestions and recommendations about what skills, knowledge, attitudes and values young people need to learn and adopt, which industries and jobs to consider working in, and where future opportunities will most likely be found so that they are prepared to benefit from the enormous opportunities that exist.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
